While professional sound engineers use state-of-the-art equipment to ensure recordings are free from interference, they cannot control what happens once the music leaves the studio. Most music today is streamed through networks at home, where electrical interference, or “noise,” is inevitably added to the signal before it reaches your home stereo system.
